Portes du Soleil is one of the world's largest interconnected ski areas, located in the French and Swiss Alps, with 12 ski resorts and a vast network of 650 kilometers of pistes. The area is popular for its excellent lift connections, varied pistes (primarily blue and red) that allow for day trips, and its sunny climate, justifying its name "Gates of the Sun." It is a snow-sure area suitable for all levels, with excellently maintained slopes, modern lifts, and a mix of authentic and modern villages.
